Libraries have the capacity to inspire, engage and support community members of all ages. Libraries provide an array of opportunities for adult patrons from diverse backgrounds. Outreach staff:
Design and implement library services to engage and meet the needs of the community.
Define and implement outreach services for the library community to increase use of library services and to reach underserved populations
Use online tools and communities to engage with and provide services to users.
Outreach ranked #23 out of 51 self-identified urgent training needs. It ranked #18 out of 60 topics staff would like training in. 46% (54) of respondents indicated they would like training at the Beginner level, 28% (33) would like training at the Intermediate level, and 26% (31) would like training at the Advanced level.
