Circulation and interlibrary loan are like the circulatory system of the library body—keeping materials flowing in, out and around in a well-regulated manner, striving to deliver the right item at the right time. Circulation staff:

Circulation Services was identified as a CORE training need in the Training Needs Assessment. It ranked #4 out of 51 self-identified urgent training needs. It ranked #7 out of 60 topics staff would like training in. 20% (26) of respondents indicated they would like training at the Beginner level, 35% (47) would like training at the Intermediate level, and 45% (60) would like training at the Advanced level.
Circulation Services is also identified as a CORE skill for Sussex County libraries.

The Delaware Educator Library Card allows its holders to supplement their curriculum with expanded access to public library resources for children and teens. For public and private K-12 school librarians, teachers, and homeschoolers who work in Delaware, including those who reside out-of-state.
