#DHSSReads: Dolly Parton's Imagination Library

by Michelle Wynne-Feigin on 2020-08-20T10:00:00-04:00 | 0 Comments

Provided by Dolly Parton, Governor John Carney, First Lady Tracey Quillen Carney, Dr. Annie Norman,
and Chief Deputy Secretary of State Courtney Stewart.

In Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, children ages birth to 5 can receive a free book in the mail each month. You can sign up your child or grandchild through Delaware Libraries. Each child can potentially have a personal home library of up to 60 books that can help form the foundation of a child's early reading experience.

Over 3,800 children have already signed up since Governor Carney's announcement on Monday and over 16,000 books have been sent out.

This is a great opportunity for your child or grandchild, especially right before school starts! They can get free books, develop reading experience and literacy skills, and engage with local libraries.

Click here to register your child or grandchild today!
