Statewide Professional Development Team: SPDT - Collection Development

Place for DLC content that the Collection Development Team is working on.  Content should be sent to the ProfDevTeam listserv, but can be added to (or removed from) this box by either Patty Langley or Bob Wetherall, the DDL Subject Matter experts for the Team, or by Katie McDonough.

We are looking for policies/guidelines/ procedures/ checklists/scripts/best practices/etc., including those that are unspoken and/or previously undocumented, that include but are not limited to the following:

• Acquisition tools (what professional journals do you use for your reviews? - Library Journal, SLJ, PW, etc.).
• Weeding procedures.
• Procedures/scripts for challenged books (goes with collection development policy).
