Place for DLC content that the Programming Team is working on. Content should be sent to the ProfDevTeam listserv, but can be added to (or removed from) this box by Sarena Fletcher, Annie Norman, Alta Porterfield, or Beth-Ann Ryan, the DDL Subject Matter experts for the Team, or by Katie McDonough.
We are looking for policies/guidelines/ procedures/ checklists/scripts/best practices/etc., including those that are unspoken and/or previously undocumented, that include but are not limited to the following:
- Program selection - how do you choose what programs to host (all age groups)? Is there a written (or tacit) strategy?
- Program evaluation.
- In-house program planning guide. Floor layouts. Pop-up programs.
- Guidelines for use of social media to promote all phases of programs.
- Guidelines for staff photography during a program.
- Best practices for entering information in Evanced. Did you know you can draw reports from Evanced to learn where you have program gaps?
- Best practices for sending press releases or contacting media.
- Outreach practices, including participation at local events, conferences, festivals to promote library services.
