Division of Employment & Training (DET) is where you can additional help to cover the cost of degree, license, & certificate programs listed on the Eligible Training Provider List. The Career Planning Workshop as well as your assigned Employment Service Specialist will help you craft & develop your education and employment plan.
You must be determined eligible and then you must go through a competitive process. This process can take at least 4 weeks to complete.

EEOC COVID-19 Resources
The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) released resources on COVID-19 and federal employment nondiscrimination laws, including the Americans with Disabilities Act. Publications include "What You Should Know About the ADA, the Rehabilitation Act, and COVID-19" and "Pandemic Preparedness in the Workplace and the Americans with Disabilities Act." Also available is a recorded "Ask the EEOC" webinar that answers questions submitted by the public about how to respond to COVID-19.
COVID-19 and Stress
Job Accommodation Network consultant Sarah Small posted a blog on "Coronavirus (COVID-19), Stress, and Mental Health Conditions." Small discusses the effects of stressors that may accompany the social distancing required by the COVID-19 response, especially for people with mental health conditions.
COVID-19 Impact on Individuals with Disabilities in the States
The Council of State Governments, a partner of the Office of Disability Employment Policy's State Exchange on Employment & Disability initiative, released a blog titled "COVID-19 and Impacts on Individuals with Disabilities." The post highlights the importance for states to consider the potential effects on their more vulnerable citizens, including those with disabilities, as they take steps to ensure safety for citizens during this national pandemic. Considerations noted include home and community supports and service provision, and access to education, information, steady employment, healthcare, and other critical needs. The post also provides links to resources, as well as state and federal examples of policies that secure continuity of services and operations, ensure inclusivity to all, and provide access to information and programs.
LEAD Center Newsletter
The LEAD Center published its LEAD On! Quarterly Newsletter for March 2020. Featured is information on the Online Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Data Visualization Tool. This interactive resource displays data on the required disability-related WIOA reporting elements by state. The newsletter also highlights Financial Literacy Month in April.
April is Autism Awareness Month. The WorkforceGPS website posted "Workplace Resources for Autism Spectrum Disorder," a tool to support employers who hire individuals with autism, including information from the Job Accommodation Network on workplace accommodations. Tools to support individuals and families are also provided.

The Delaware Hub, a partnership with the DOJ, USAO, and Federal Probation and Parole, looks to offer job and resources fairs up and down the state of Delaware. These job & resource fairs are for everyone, and are felon friendly. We attempt to centralize the fairs in areas in the community that are most in need of the resources and employment opportunities. Typically, without COVID the Hub would be held in community centers and churches in the most vulnerable neighborhoods. At this moment, we are hosting them virtually.
