Typical Audience Questions:

  • “What is the cost of your program?” The audience is NOT interested in the cost you quote on your SRC Arts in the Library Series proposal to perform at all 33 libraries.  They want to know your normal program fee when contracted by an individual library. They may also be interested in whether or not you offer discounts for block bookings. Delaware Librarians have requested that the performer fee for libraries be made available to them. This fee is not negotiated by the Delaware Division of Libraries, does not apply to the performer fee for the SRC Arts in the Library Series, and is not a criteria in the selection process for the SRC Arts in the Library Series.
  • “What is the title of your program?”
  • “What is the age range of your target audience?”
  • “How much space do you need for your performance?”

2019 Summer Library Reading Program General Theme: Fairy Tales - Mythology - Fantasy

  • Slogan for all age groups: Imagine Your Story
  • Delaware Division of Libraries does not stipulate that performers incorporate the theme/slogan. However, incorporation of the theme and slogan is something that librarians like and they often note as a comment in their ratings. Connecting to the theme adds continuity to the Summer Reading Program.
