Summer Library Reading Program Performing Arts Series

The Summer Library Reading Program Performing Arts Series is funded by the DE Division of the Arts and the Institute of Museum and Library Services.

2011 performers include:

Diane Macklin, Storyteller, Diane weaves rhythm, music, songs, and movement to bring world tales about animals of all shapes and sizes to life.  Her stories highlight the humor of tricksters, the wisdom of elders, and the powers of cleverness.  Diane’s stories are dynamic and interactive.  Diane is performs nationwide and is the resident storyteller at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of  African Art. 

Tom Sieling, Singer, Guitarist, Banjoist, Tom, a widely acclaimed singer and string instrumentalist, has performed nationally for over 20 years.  His show incorporates a variety of instruments that he uses to accompany himself.  His fun packed show invites full audience participation and his music brings smiles and laughter to all, regardless of age.
